Hi there! I'm Jennifer, the owner of The Darling Sew Shop. My grandmother bought my first sewing machine for me when I was a young girl and truly encouraged my interest in sewing. That sewing machine (pictured behind me on the shelf) went through a lot of trial and error as I slowly learned the in's and out's of how it worked and doesn't quite function properly anymore but my love for sewing lives on. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010 with a degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising and started my seamstress career making baby clothes for a small boutique in downtown Lexington, KY. I quickly moved into the world of bridal and special occasion dresses working for a large bridal store and fell in love with the intricate and delicate work. Since then I've had the honor of making a few lucky ladies their dream wedding gowns, a handful of special occasion dresses, and a lot of alterations in between. Alongside sewing, I'm pretty good at baking pies, giving all of the love to my cats, and drinking very strong coffee.
